"He is only called insān (human being) because of his nasyān (forgetfulness) -- And it is only called al-qalb (the heart) because it constantly varies (yataqallib)."

From ˤAbbās ibn ˤAbd al-Muttalib that he had heard the Messenger of Allāh - peace and blessings be upon him - say: "Whoever is pleased with Allāh as his Rabb; with al-Islām as his Dīn; and with Muhammad as his Prophet and Messenger has tasted the sweetness of faith."

[al-Imām Ahmad said:]
Muhammad bin Idrīs ash-Shāfiˤī narrated to me; from [Imām] Mālik; from Ibn Shihāb [az-Zuhrī]; from ˤAbd ar-Rahmān - son of Kaˤb bin Mālik [al-Ansārī] - that his father used to narrate that the Messenger of Allāh - peace and blessings be upon him - said:
"The soul of the believer is a bird hanging to a tree in Paradise until Allāh returns it to his body on the day He resurrects him."

ÞóÇáó ÑóÓõæáõ Çááøåö Õóáøì Çááøåõ Úóáóíúåö æóÓóáøãóÇááøåõãø ÇÑúÖó Úóäú ÚõËúãóÇäó ¡ ÝóÅöäøí Úóäúåõ ÑóÇÖò The Messenger of Allāh - peace and blessings be upon him - said:
"Oh Allāh, be pleased with ˤUthmān, for I am pleased with him." [al-Sīrah al-Nabawiyyah li Ibn Hishām 2/517]

"...if you had obeyed Abū Bakr and ˤUmar, you would have gone on the right path." [Sahīh MuslimHadith #1450 -- Arabic #1099]
