Better the devil you know than the devil you don't know....

The C of E (as a force and an influence) died many years ago because its leaders lost touch with reality and they failed to address the needs and wishes of its congregation. Christianity hasn't died in Britain and something that Muslims should be vigilant about is the possibility of the Christian Council of Britain developing into a fully functioning church with its own membership independent of any of church, its own clergy, its own buildings (possibly former C of E churches), and its own services. A church with a leadership that is populist and in tune with the interests of the average Brit that preaches sermons vilifying and misrepresenting Islam every Sunday morning has a strong potential to attract thousands of notional Christians who would otherwise never consider attending church services. It could even result in a revival of Christianity in Britain.
