List of printing errors in Madeenah Arabic Book One published by UK Islamic Academic 1. Page 16, last line, second word [reading from right to left], fatha instead of dammah on the kaf in ad-deeku 2. Page 17, example number 10 from top of page. All the examples use singular nouns however in 10 the plural of apple is used instead of the singular. Please note that in Arabic a single apple, e.g. “an apple” has a taa maabootah on the end e.g “tuf-faa-ha-tun” NOT “tuf-faa-hun” as in the text..!! “tuf-faa-hun” is the plural form e.g “apples”. [In the english notes section “apples” is also translated as “apple” and Allah’s aid is sought.] 3. Page 19 line three, example number one on the right hand column has a fatha on the laam instead of a sukoon. 4. Page 32 , new words box in middle of page, second word has a fatha on the taa maabootah instead of dammah, which changes it to mansoof..! 5. Page 32, new words box in middle of page, eighth word has shaddah missing on the seen. 6. Page 38, new words box in middle of page, seventh word has fatha on the laam instead of a sukoon. 7. Page 53, new words box at bottom of page, third word has kasrah missing under the meem. 8. Page 56, line six, example 3, has an extra fatha next to the taa. 9. Page 60, line two should be numbered 7 not 9...! 10. Page 60, line three, word one, has a fatha on the zay instead of a sukoon. 11. Page 65, line seven, the feminine example on the left has a fatha instead of a kasrah on the kaf in “qalamuki”. 12. Page 76, line eight, example 1, second word, has a fatha on the taa instead of a sukoon. 13. Page 79, line ten, example 1, word three, the last harf has been changed to a yaa by the incorrect addition of two dots on the alif so it reads “al-fatee” instead “al-fataa”. 14. Page 91, new words box in middle of page, fifth word, has fatha instead of dammah on the alif. 15. Page 105, line five, last word, has shaddah over the noon instead of the baa.
